Granulators

Choosing a cable granulator

Identify your feed material before comparing machines: cable sizes, conductor material, insulation and any mixed or contaminated material. Confirm the preparation required and the materials each system can process. Then compare the manufacturer’s capacity rating, power requirements, footprint and maintenance needs.

Ask how the stated capacity was measured and which material was used. Actual production can vary with cable composition, preparation and operating conditions. Confirm that the proposed system includes the components needed for your material and recovery goals.

What to compare before buying

Wire stripping or granulating

Wire stripping removes insulation from individual cables, while granulating reduces cable into smaller material for separation. The best choice depends on cable size, material mix, volume and the work required to prepare and handle the material.
